The Rural Learning Center project is a major expansion of the organization's existing facility, serving and enhancing their mission with new conference and training rooms, a community kitchen, lodging space and flexible offices for business incubators. Cutting edge sustainable technologies and materials will be integrated and displayed throughout, with interactive displays giving real-time performance data on building systems.

A new public plaza will welcome visitors to the site, one of the many shared outdoor spaces along with green roofs and a community garden. The Rural Learning Center is targeting LEED Platinum certification.
