The YMCA and Sioux Valley Hospital are joint venturing to create this family fitness center for the west side of Sioux Falls.

The focal point of the center is an elliptical, glass enclosed conditioning center. Arrayed around the conditioning center are a three-court gymnasium, racquetball courts, locker rooms, pool, administrative center and day care center. Circulation is concentrated in the zone around the conditioning center to maximize efficiency and provide opportunities for members to see each other. The juxtaposition of the curved conditioning center with the orthogonal elements of the building creates spaces for tables where members may also relax with refreshments from the cafe.
