The Colisuem in downtown Sioux Falls is now completely renovated, inside and out. Mayor Mike Huether was on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the building today. Originally built in 1917, the inside of the Coliseum was restored in the '90s.

At a cost of over $988,000, the front of the building was restored by Koch Hazard Architects of Sioux Falls. The majority of the work done was based on a few photographs.

"They did have a few little samples of gargoyals that had been saved, but the majority of the work was done from old photos and I'm just amazed at their abilites to get that done," said Mary Dean Janklow.

Janklow is the president of the Coliseum Exterior Restoration Committee -- the group that came up with the idea to restore the Coliseum.
